Requirements for a New Thai Driving License
For Cars or Motorbikes (First-time Applicants):
Valid Passport with at least 6 months remaining validity.
Non-Immigrant Visa or a visa type that allows a stay of at least 30 days.
Proof of Residence in Thailand, such as:
Letter from immigration or embassy
Rental contract or work permit
Medical Certificate (issued within 30 days by a Thai clinic or hospital).
Valid International Driving Permit (IDP) or home country driver’s license (for license conversion).
Application Fee (typically 205 THB for car, 105 THB for motorbike).
Passing the Required Tests:
Color blindness test
Reaction time test

Requirements for License Renewal
For Cars or Motorbikes:
Current Thai Driving License (not expired for more than 1 year; otherwise, re-testing may be required).
