Re-Entry Permit

Re-Entry Permit Thailand

One of the most common — and costly — mistakes expats make is leaving Thailand without a re-entry permit. Doing so cancels your long-stay visa, forcing you to apply from scratch. A re-entry permit is a simple, inexpensive fix that protects your entire visa.

Single re-entry permit: valid for one departure and return
Multiple re-entry permit: unlimited entries during your visa validity period
Available at Jomtien Immigration — same-day service usually possible
Nan Services attends with you and handles the form completion
We can arrange urgent same-day appointments when you have last-minute travel

In-person submission at Jomtien Immigration when online is unavailable

We handle the form, submission, and acknowledgement receipt
Can be combined with other Immigration visits to save time

Visa FAQ

How long does a retirement visa renewal take?
With Nan Services, a straightforward retirement visa renewal typically takes one day at Jomtien Immigration. We prepare all documents in advance, arrive early to secure a good queue number, and in most cases your passport is returned the same day with your new extension stamp.
Can I apply for the DTV visa from inside Thailand?
No — the DTV must be applied for from outside Thailand via the Thai e-Visa portal before you enter. If you are already in Thailand, you would need to exit the country (e.g. a border run) and apply from abroad. We can advise on the most practical approach for your situation.
What happens if I miss my 90-day report?
Missing your 90-day report incurs a fine of 2,000 THB per day late, up to a maximum of 5,000 THB. It does not automatically cancel your visa, but repeated failures can complicate future renewals. The best approach is to never miss it — which is why we offer a reminder service.
Do I need a re-entry permit for a day trip to Cambodia?
Yes, absolutely. Even a brief border crossing cancels your long-stay visa if you don't have a re-entry permit in place before you leave. A multiple re-entry permit is the best protection if you travel regularly. It's inexpensive and takes less than an hour to obtain.
How much does it cost to use Nan Services?
Our service fees are transparent and quoted upfront before any work begins. Fees vary by service type. Government fees (immigration, labour department, etc.) are charged at actual cost with no markup. Contact us for a free consultation and exact quote for your specific situation.
